Welcome New Trojans!

We encourage you to get involved in APASS to learn more about your Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) identity, build community, and think critically about social issues that impact the APIDA community. APASS is a cultural center that fosters community and encourages you to to be who you are. Our programs and services center on the APIDA experience, however we are open to all who are interested in learning more about APIDA experiences.

APIDA Student Welcome
Learn how you can participate in our programs and services. Connect with student leaders and learn how you can join student organizations. Meet the new incoming class of 2024 and start your life-long friendships here!

PEER First Year Mentoring
First year APIDA students (freshmen, transfers, and Spring admits) are paired with continuing APIDA students in a mentoring relationship focused on transition, success, and growth. Gain connection, positive role morels, and support to transition smoothly to college life.

CIRCLE
Our leadership program centers on social justice education around the APIDA identity and experience. In this weekly educational seminar, you will gain awareness though a critical lens, identity exploration, and community empowerment.

Connections!
This program is focused on career exploration and professional development. Participate in resume and cover letter writing workshops, connect with alumni and professionals, and explore how your identity can shape your career journey.

QTAPI
Queer & Trans Asian Pacific Islanders (QTAPI) provides a safe space to engage in conversations about the intersection of identities with a specific focus on our API LGBTQ+ community. Conversations are peer led.

DESI
Defining and Enriching South Asian Issues (DESI) is a dialogue-oriented, year-round series of events focusing on hot topics in South Asian and South Asian American communities. APASS is committed to supporting South Asian student organizations through our funding and resources.

PULE
Promoting Unity Leadership & Education (PULE) is focused on building safe space, promoting solidarity, and enhancing leadership. APASS is committed to supporting Pacific Islander (PI) student organizations through our funding and resources.

First-Year Residential Floor
The APIDA Leaders Community is a residential special interest floor that promotes leadership development, personal growth, and a successful transition to college.

Summer Orientation Sessions with APASS

Summer Orientation

Join us for Summer Orientation and get to know the incoming class of 2024! We will go over our programs that enhance your first-year, how you can get involved, and why getting involved with the APIDA community can be a great way to experience USC. You will also get a chance to meet the APASS professional staff and student team. Parents and guests can participate in a separate session and will learn how their child’s student experience at USC can be supported at APASS.

To join one of our sessions download the the Welcome to USC app on July 6th. Within the app/browser version of the app, you can build your student services schedule. Select our orientation session and we will email you the Zoom link before the session starts.
